El estadio de Manchester sera sede del futbol en Londres 2012.



One of the most important disciplines of the Olympic football isperhaps the most watched and played sport worldwide, and nowhas been defined which will be a their homes over the next games in 2012

This site is nothing less than "the theater of dreams", the famousOld Trafford football stadium, located in Trafford in Greater Manchester Metropolitan County, in turn deInglaterra located in the northwest at a distance of 320 miles from London .This stage is known worldwide for being the home of ManchesterUnited Football Club, one of the stars of the Premier League andChampions League.Greater Manchester, home of the stadium has several access and means of transport such as airport, tram (Metrolink), buses ortrains and simple communication with the rest of England.
This monumental stadium holds 76,957 spectators each, and will be the venue for many football matches, where the semifinals to be played include between July 26 and August 7 next year.

It was inaugurated in 1910 and designed by Archibald Leitch, with a capacity for 80,000 spectators, the stadium was used for the finals of the FA Cup in 1911 and 1915.
During World War II, the stadium underwent several damage,which forced a remodel, completed in 1949, then in 1970 to celebrate the end of the FA Cup that year and part of the venues for World Cup 1966.
A stadium with a history for these Olympic Games so importantand then in 2015 the headquarters of the Sherpa World CupRugby.
